What is included

Everything, on every plan and during the trial. There are no feature tiers — the subscription unlocks the app, not individual features.

Should you pay for a habit tracker at all?

Honestly, not always. There are genuinely good free habit trackers — Habitica is free at its core and runs everywhere, Loop Habit Tracker is free and open source on Android, and Finch and HabitKit both have usable free tiers. If a free app is working for you, keep using it.

Paying makes sense when you can name the specific thing you are buying. For Habit Dungeon that is a game that resolves itself so it never becomes another chore, a streak rule that survives one bad day, offline play, and progression that cannot be purchased. If none of those is a problem you actually have, one of the free options above is the better answer.

The trial is seven days with everything unlocked, which is enough to find out. Compare all ten trackers if you would rather decide before installing anything.

Pricing questions

Is Habit Dungeon free?

There is a 7-day free trial with full access to everything. After that it is $39.99 per year or $7.99 per week. There is no permanently free tier — unlike Habitica, which is free at its core.

What do I get during the free trial?

Everything. All three classes, the full skill trees, gear and loot, expeditions, daily quests, the World Quest, the weekly world boss, parties, guilds and the leaderboard. Nothing is held back for paying users.

What happens when the trial ends?

You are charged for the plan you selected unless you cancel first. We send a reminder notification on day 5, two days before the trial ends, so it should not be a surprise.

How do I cancel?

Through your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling before the trial ends means you are not charged. Habit Dungeon cannot cancel it for you — Apple handles all billing.

Is there a monthly plan?

No. There is a yearly plan at $39.99 and a weekly plan at $7.99, and no monthly option. The weekly plan works out considerably more expensive over a year; it exists for people who want a short commitment.

Is there a free alternative?

Yes, several, and we would rather point you at them than have you pay for something that does not fit. Habitica is free at its core and runs on iOS, Android and web. Loop Habit Tracker is free and open source on Android. Finch and HabitKit both have usable free tiers.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The game runs entirely on your device, including expeditions and progression. Cloud sync, parties, guilds and the leaderboard need a connection, but the core loop does not.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No ads. No consumable purchases, no gems, no loot boxes and nothing that makes your hero stronger for money. The subscription is the only transaction.
